Good start。 In some ways this is your typical post apocalyptic LitRPG but there are some nice twists。 There is a good amount of time providing some background for the world and the characters。 Some of the game mechanics are done in a different way emphasizing percentages。 The characters are fun and their interplay is entertaining。

Book oneMistakes: the author seems to not want to use the modern form of gritted in his writing and sticks with grit no matter the tense。 Since he used the word a lot it threw me off from time to time。Plot: I found the magic system very confusing and didn't see a difference between the monsters and the characters with the changes that the magic was making in them。Character: For people that spent two decades in a bunker, the total lack of wonder or amazement by anyone at all the changes was odd。 Book oneMistakes: the author seems to not want to use the modern form of gritted in his writing and sticks with grit no matter the tense。 Since he used the word a lot it threw me off from time to time。Plot: I found the magic system very confusing and didn't see a difference between the monsters and the characters with the changes that the magic was making in them。Character: For people that spent two decades in a bunker, the total lack of wonder or amazement by anyone at all the changes was odd。 As for the three main characters who were born and raised in the bunker, I would think that they would have had issues with the sky and the outdoors, but nothing fazed anyone。The pets are just odd with human like intelligence。3/10 。。。more

Slice of life A post-apocalyptic slice of life story with quirky mechanics。 And then it gets interesting in the final chapter。 Hopefully not too little, too late so I’ll keep an eye out for the next one。

slowIt takes a while to finally get to the litRPG portion。 Not that the beginning is unnecessary, but it could have been structured better。I felt like I was forcing myself to keep Reading, so I stopped。I will not be continuing with this series。DNF 37%

Neat startInteresting first book in the series, looking forward to the next book :) interesting take on a system apocalypse, no love interest (which is refreshing!), and cool system。
